Cowboy Fireworks Ignites History: Powers Guinness World Record Fireworks Display Benefiting Wounded Warrior Project
On December 31, 2025, the skies over Mandan, North Dakota, thundered in a historic symphony of light, officially setting a new Guinness World Records title for the largest synchronized Gatling firework display under a minute.
The record-shattering display, organized by Pegasus Illuminations LLC, utilized a massive arsenal of over 400 cases of “Golden Gatling” fireworks donated by Cowboy Fireworks and its exclusive U.S. partner-Spirit of '76. This translated into a breathtaking array of more than 5,000 individual Gatling units, which fired an estimated 2.8 million+ shots, creating a sustained, awe-inspiring wall of golden splendor.
A Record Forged in the Cowboy Spirit
This was about more than breaking a record; it was about honoring a promise. The courage and resilience of our veterans embody the true Cowboy spirit—tough, loyal, and unwavering. We are incredibly proud that our ‘Golden Gatling’ product was chosen to be the literal ammunition for this historic salute. To see our fireworks light up the sky in tribute to America’s heroes is the greatest success we could imagine.
The event successfully raised funds and awareness for the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting veterans who have sustained physical or mental injuries during their military service.
A Unified Effort to Make History
Achieving the Guinness World Records standard required flawless execution, but more importantly, it required the entire fireworks community to come together. This successful attempt was a true collaborative victory, made possible through the tremendous support of industry sponsors like Spirit of ‘76, Cobra Firing Systems, and Great Lakes Mortar Racks. It was anchored by the gracious hosting of the City of Mandan and brought to life by the tireless dedication of numerous volunteers/organizations. Each group played an indispensable role in transforming a bold vision into a certified world record.
